Off-Road Vehicle Modification Project for the Russian Market

This project was initiated by a client of one of Russia’s largest off-road vehicle modification shops, which specializes in providing professional modification solutions for the off-road vehicle market. The client sought a high-aesthetic and high-performance large six-piston caliper that could be compatible with off-road vehicles equipped with 20-inch or larger wheels. Given the high technical challenges involved, the ICOOH brand was ultimately selected to assist in completing the project.

This project was initiated by one of Russia’s largest tuning shops to develop a new brake kit for its off-road vehicle customers. With over a decade of experience in professional tuning and a large, loyal fan base, the shop had very high expectations for product quality.

Case Background

The client designed and developed a new brake product to replace the original brakes, improving braking performance. At the same time, they wanted a fuller caliper and lightweight design to provide a more stunning user experience. Due to the significant technical challenges, they selected ICOOH, a brand with core technology R&D capabilities.

Our Solution

1. Modification plan for large off-road vehicle wheels

Since the target audience is off-road vehicles, which typically have large wheels and require larger brake discs, ICOOH developed a large caliper modification plan suitable for brake discs larger than 380mm.

2. Core data development and product model design

After finalizing the modification plan, ICOOH’s core technical team conducted R&D and design, focusing on off-road vehicle model data, while also performing model design and 3D rendering.

3. CNC precision machining and first-kit testing

After finalizing the 3D model, the ICOOH factory used CNC precision machining to quickly produce the first kit.

4. Strict quality inspection and installation testing

After production, ICOOH sent the product to a professional laboratory for brake-related tests. After passing the final test, the technical team conducted on-site vehicle installation, ultimately achieving success and entering mass production.

Project Results

Performance Improvement: Compared to the stock calipers, the modified IC6 six-piston calipers offer a more linear response, smooth braking feel, and improved mid-range braking power.

Appearance Improvement: The supercar-inspired integrated forging process provides high strength and a hollowed-out design. The calipers are large yet lightweight, delivering powerful braking force.

Customer Satisfaction: The client was extremely pleased with the newly developed product, and the project was delivered on schedule. They further deepened their collaboration with ICOOH and became ICOOH’s exclusive distributor in Russia.
